The festive season will soon be upon us, so it’s time for some f/f holiday books!
A holiday read is a book in which one of the winter holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannukah, etc. plays a role. “Winter” refers to winter in the northern hemisphere, but, of course, the book can be set in the southern hemisphere during the holidays too. Also, it doesn’t need to be a Christian holiday.

“Under a Falling Star” by Jae (Ylva).
“Snow Globe” by Georgia Beers / “All I Want for Christmas” by Clare Lydon / “That Emerald Mountain Magic” by Cara Malone .. => Winning any of these novels would be great since I have I don’t have any of them yet …
Happy reading! & … Good luck everyone !!
Greetings from Reunion Island
I bought Ylva’s latest holiday-themed short story collection, The Language of Love, a week ago, so I’m reading that one. (delete this one if there’s a double comment)
I’ve read a few of these books and looking forward to read The Christmas Wolf by Bridget Essex.
Wow, hard to believe that I read only one book from this list!!! Such a great titles though. 😁
Wow I noticed I’ve read only one book from this list and I love that one, under a falling star was very enjoyable and I have read more than once. But with this recommendations I’ll be looking forward to read more of this category. Thank you for sharing
Ive read Lyn Gardner and Gerri Hill . Thank you for the opportunity to expand my library
I bought Ylva’s latest holiday-themed short story collection, so that’s what I’ll read.
Another great list! I really liked “The Wish List,” “Ticket 1207,” “The Bureau of Holiday Affairs,” “Snow Globe,” ” Do You Feel What I Feel,” and I recently re-read “Under A Falling Star” because it’s one of my faves. And now I have a few other recommendations to read for the holidays. I can’t wait!
I will read Mistletoe for this square
I’ve read a couple of the books on this list. “That Old Emerald Mountain Magic” by Cara Malone is quite good, but my favorite on the list by far is “Holme for the Holidays” by Miranda MacLeod. As the 2nd installment in the “American’s Abroad” series, this story does blends serious storylines with Ms. MacLeod’s wonderful “screwball romantic comedy” bent to bring us a holiday story with heart, humor, romance, and passion. In short, it’s the whole package! One of her best.
I read Andi Marquette’s The Bureau of Holiday Affairs for this category. I’d also recommend the new Ylva anthology Language of Love for this square since all the short stories in it are winter holiday themed.
Will re-read “Under A Falling Star”. Happy reading everyone!
Thanks, i love these list
For this square I have started reading Language of Love edited by Astrid Ohletz and Lee Winter
Thanks for another good list Jae. I’ve read: Lynn Galli – Winter Calling, Jae – A Falling Star and Rachel Spangler – Trails Merge. Next I plan to read Gerri Hill – Chasing a Brighter Blue and Andi Marquette – The Bureau of Holiday Affairs which is an absolute riot!
I’ve read, The Bureau of Holiday Affairs by Andi Marquette, and it was hilariously good.
And, I think that for this one I’ll be reading the Gerri Hill, I seem to be on a Gerri Hill jag at the moment. :))
I haven’t read a lot of Georgia Beers. That seems like a great choice for the holidays.
I’ll be re-reading Under A Falling Star by Jae
I’m reading “Chasing a Brighter Blue”. There are a few listed books I want to add to my library.
Just read A Wolf for Christmas by Bridget Essex – an author I discovered here.
This is my last square! I am going to read Under a Falling Star. I read Chasing a Brighter Blue before bingo started.
I read Chasing a Brighter Blue by Gerri Hill. It was one of my favorites that I read this year.
Oh yay, Christmas reads. Am re-reading Snow Globe for my fix, but thanks for the suggestions. That Emerald Mountain Magic looks good as well as Holme for the Holidays as I live in Yorkshire :)
Just read 2 of these great books on this list, looking forward to reading some more, Happy Holidays to all
I’m gonna go with Chasing a Brighter Blue by Gerri Hill. Happy Reading!
I’m such a sucker for holiday season stories!! I’ve read quiet a few of these already, I may have to work my ear through the rest of list…and reread a couple of favorites as well.
The only one of these I have is ‘Under a Falling Star’ (most gorgeous book cover ever). I’ll probably either read ‘Snow Globe’ or ‘Do You Feel What I Feel.’
I read That Emerald Mountain Magic by Cara Malone for this category. Loved it.
I’ve read already “under a falling star”. Loved it.
This time I start with ticket 1207
I have read two of these. That old Emerald Mountainagic was awesome and so was Chasing a Brighter Blue. I love Christmas stories. They are my absolute favorite, as Christmas is also my absolute favorite.
I’ve already read “Under a Falling Star” earlier this year so for my quick fix for the season I’ll go with “Jingle” by Natalie Vivien.
I’ve never been big into the holidays (family stuff, you know…) but these look delightful. I’m especially excited for “Do You Feel What I Feel”!
Reading Bureau of Holiday Affairs by Andi Marquette
Love Robin Alexander, so I’ll be reading Ticket 1207!
Thanks for the list! I’ve read a few of those and will add the others to my list of books to curl up with this winter.
Time flies.. This bingo goes way to fast!
But back to this square. I’ve already read a couple from the list. I loved Under a falling star and Chasing a brighter blue! But unfortanitly I read them last year so they don’t count for my bingocards this year.. But that leaves me with a whole lot of new options for my squares this year :)
I love Robin Alexander so ticket 1207 is gonna go on one. And everyone is raving about The Bureau of Holiday Affairs so that one will follow. That Old Emerald Mountain Magic is on my To Be Read pile for a while now so it’s a good time as any to start on that one for my third card. And for my last card Holme For The Holidays sounds really nice, but I’ve just bought Language Of Love also.. (collection of short Christmas stories edited by Astrid Ohletz and Lee Winter). I will probably read both, but one maybe when it is closer to Christmas.
And I also have The Road Ahead by A.E. Radley waiting, but because it has a sequel and it will be busy the next couple of weeks I will leave that one for another time, but I heard a lot of great things about it! Anyways I will be reading a lot and the next square is already coming up! Happy readings everyone!
