I’m very excited to share the first post of the long-awaited F/F Fiction Crossword Challenge with you. For our first crossword puzzle, I picked WLW & lesbian books with ice queen characters because that kind of heroine is quite popular with readers. First, for anyone who wondered, yes, there was as typo in yesterday’s post: It was actually 7,115 books that were read for Lesbian Book Bingo, not 115. And since that’s a LOT of books, it took quite some time to compile this list of all the books that were read for Book Bingo. Lesbian Book Bingo—a resume and the winners of the grand prize

I can’t believe our year-long reading challenge is already over. Lesbian Book Bingo made my year so much fun—and I think it did the same for many readers of lesbian and f/f fiction. According to the feedback I got, what readers loved most about Lesbian Book Bingo was that it forced them to read outside of their comfort zone and pick books from genres that they don’t normally read. Many readers were surprised to discover that they actually enjoyed those genres. Others appreciated that they discovered new authors through Book Bingo instead of sticking to their established favorites.   A …
