At the end of each month, I always ask the readers in my Facebook group what their favorite sapphic book of the month was. As we are approaching the end of the year, I was curious about what my fellow authors’ favorite sapphic reads of 2022 were, so I asked some of the most popular authors for their top 3 sapphic books they read in 2022. It could be 2022 releases or previously published books they read or re-read this year.

A Whisper of Solace by Milena McKay
Purposefully Accidental by G Benson
Honey in the Marrow by Emily Waters
And if I’m allowed a fourth one, Last Chance Chicago by Diana DiGangi.
Great choices, Jude!
It wasn’t easy to choose just three books, but it had to be done.
These are my three favorite sapphic books of 2022:
The Forever and the Now by KJ
Honey in the Marrow by Emily Waters
Chemistry by Rachael Sommers
It’s so so so hard to pick just 3 because I really have 7 that just stuck in my head for a long time. The following were random picks of the 7:
Mrs. Middleton by Melissa Tereze was a re-read (for the 3rd time!)
Mistakes Were Made by Meryl Wilsner Honey In The Marrow by Emily Waters
1. Passing Rites series & Hobbs series – Elena Graf …Had to cheat on this one as it’s too hard to choose when each series gives you a hangover!
2. If I Don’t Ask – E.J. Noyes
3. (Echoing with Jude above) A Whisper of Solace- Milena McKay
Hard to choose just 3, so among my many favourites:
1) The New Shore – Caren Werlinger
2) Cowboys and Kisses – Karin Kallmaker
3) Deus Ex Mechanic – Ryann Fletcher
I have so many favorites this year. It was hard to choose. I wish this was a list for our favorite 10 but here are my 3.
1) Just a Touch Away by Jae
2) Army Of One by Lexa Luthor
3)Black Queen by Serenity Snow
Oooh, thanks so much! I’m honored “Just a Touch Away” was among your favorites!

Hmm… Kind of random…
1. Star Mage Saga – JJ Green
2. The Third Act – Emily Banting

This is such a hard choice as there were so many great books this year. My top three are:
1. The Forever and the Now by KJ.
2. Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake
3. Unbreakable by Cari Hunter
When I’m With You by Monica Mccallan

Those Who Wait by Haley Cass
Breaks my heart to leave out at least 5 other phenomenal reads but my top 3 are:
The Tell Tale by Clare Ashton
Starting from Scratch by Georgia Beers
Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M Danforth
It’s a tough choice with so many great books out there, isn’t it?
my top 3 books in my first year reading sapphic literature are:
Perks of office – Rain, Liz
Rewind – Lynde, Julia P.
The red Files- Winter, Lee
Thank you to all the sapphic authors. You expand and describe wlw universe. 2022 was chock-a-block full of fantastic reads for me.
Jae- Just a Touch Away:I fell in love with cuddles. Just Physical: disability conquered by love.
Conflict of Interest: bone chilling realism of rape
and climbing back to safety and letting love back in
Lee Winter- Brutal/Awkward Truth: cheers to the women with sweet fire who melt the world’s complicated ice queens
E.J. Noyes- Ask, Tell/Ask me Again/If the Shoe Fits/If I don’t Ask: I didn’t understand the experience of being trapped by the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy until these books, these are powerfully written
Thanks so much, Karen! 2022 was a great year for sapphic fiction!
Hmm, tricky…
1. The Jasmine Throne, by Tasha Suri – Hoovered it up in a day, amazing!

Thanks so much! I’m honored Just a Touch Away made it on your list!
