As we’re slowly approaching the end of the year and of Lesbian Book Bingo, I would be amiss not to include a list of books featuring butch/femme couples. Most of these are romance novels in which a butch and a femme character meet and fall in love.

15 GREAT LESBIAN BOOKS THAT FEATURE BUTCH/FEMME COUPLES

I’ve put together a list of 15 books featuring butch/femme couples I hope you’ll enjoy.

  1. Hi there !!!

For the “butch/femme couples” square” I read : Just Physical” (The Hollywood Series – Book 4) by Jae (Ylva)

But I read “Safe Harbor” too … :-)

“Lost for Words” by Andrea Bramhall & “Fearless” by Shira Glassman are unknown for me for now …. think my never-ending “must-to-be-purchased-and-read”-list of novels is now a bit longer, LOL

    Good luck everyone !!!

  2. I wonder what it says about me, when I’ve read the majority of these this year! LOL Such a great section of authors and books! Got a couple of ones I’ve missed, so here I go!

  3. I’ve got a couple that I haven’t read, so I’m excited to be ordering them. One of my favourite sub categories. I read Love at Coopers Creek for my square.

  4. I have noticed that I like basically every category of the bingo card, so this isn’t the exception. And actually isn’t one of my favourites. I’ve read at least half of the books listed here and I’m sure I’ve read more, but sadly I can’t remember them right now to add them to the list. I have a couple on my kindle on queue in my never ending to read list ;P
that is “Switching Gears” by Rhavensfyre and “Fearless” by Shira Glassman. And I’ll be looking for the few ones I’ve missed for sure. I also got to say that departure from the script is one of my very fav of this category. I fell in love with Michelle and Amanda in “the morning after”, so I had to read right away their story. Thank you so much for the recommendations.

  5. I am going to read Built to Last by Aurora Rey for this square and then I only need one more book to finish my bingo card.

  6. Lost for Words and Unexpected are both on my to-read list.. so either one of those. Departure from Script is a strong contender, though, as I’ve read (and liked) the other books in the series.

  7. I lovelovelove Departure from the Script! I’d been wanting to read it ever since I read the short story that this couple starts in (The Morning After). But I had to wait until I could increase my book-buying budget. (This is *not* to suggest that lesfic books are overpriced! They are, if anything, an extremely great value!)

Thank you so much for this book and this couple! I may just re-read it so I can include it on my Bingo card. I know I read the short story numerous times, swooning! :)

  8. Well, I will have more to add to my never ending “to read” list. I am reading Switching Gears by Rhavensfyre for this category.

  9. I previously read “Safe Harbor,” “Departure From the Script,” and “The Devil Inside” and really enjoyed them. Recently, I read “Lost for Words” and “When Katie Met Cassidy.” I want to read “Inside Out” because I love Meagher’s work.

  10. One of my favorites “Departure from the script ” deserves another read. You must add “Playing Passions Game”, by Lesley Davis. Great love story everyone can relate to.

  11. I will definitely work through each of these. I will also throw my novel Dal Segno into the mix. ;-)

I can’t remember what I put into this square so many months ago but I love these lists and will draw from them for a long time.

  12. Another great list and although I have seven from the list, for once I don’t have any of the three being offered for the drawing. So far I’ve read, or re-read: C F Frizzell – Stick McLaughlin, Linda Crist- Galveston 1900: Swept Away, Ali Vali – The Devil Inside, and Lynn Galli – Something So Grand. Need to add several more to my TBR list.

  13. Good list! Apparently, I like this genre because I’ve read many of the books and loved them. My favorite here is “Unexpected” by Jenny Frame, for which I highly recommend the audio version.

  14. This is one of my favourite categories. I think I’ll opt for listening to the audio of Jenny Frame’s Unexpected. I have read nearly all of your recommendations but there a couple of books I have not picked up, so I have added them to my reading list.

  15. I’ve already put Fated Love by Radclyffe and Departure from the Script by Jae down for two of my cards for this square. I’m still deciding about the other two, but damn there are so many choices!! And just like every time this suggested reading list comes out, my TBR pile becomes a little more unmanageable ;) But I’m not complaining.. My bankacount is though..

Anyways I’m always really looking forward to the suggestions, it even keeps me from alraedy filling all the squares, just the anticipation..

By the way the Hunter series by Gerri Hill also would fit this category nicely. Happy readings everyone!!

And thanks Jae for all your efforts in making this bingo!

  16. I’ve read the whole Cain Casey series by Ali Vali. Can’t go wrong with any of them. I also have to agree with Rawena that the Hunter Series is a good one too.

  17. I have read ‘Side Order of Love by Tracey Richardson and Next of Kin by Jae for this square. Both not on the list above. So I have some choices left for future read.
Thanks Jae, for make reading lesfic even more fun with the Bingo Card.
